« on: January 20, 2007, 09:23:42 pm »
A bottle of reSTART granuals came with my 'starter kit' - never used it, it says 'non-chlorine' shock, and no more info on the bottle.  Is this their equivelent of MPS?  Thanks,

I've never heard of that before but that's not saying much. ::)
Does it really only have the words non-chlorine shock on it and that's all. :-/
Surely it has to say something else. :D

Yes, it says a lot more, but no ingredient.  Although it is labeled as 'Spa Shock Supreme reSTART', the directions are strictly for pool use on the back:

"SpaShock Supreme with Restart offers the advantage of superior oxidizing for sparkling clear water and lets you resume swimming just 15 minutes after it's use.  It is non-chlorine, no-bleaching, pH neutral and safe to use in all pool types.  Not for use in biguaride-treated pools."

The Directions For Use are just for pools, telling you to add 1 lb. for every 10,000 gallons.

The front label says:
- reduces the need for sanitizing up to 50%
- 100% water soluble
- clarifies the water
- removes inorganics from water
- the best spa shock for mineral systems

I'll have to call Artesian, perhaps, to find out what the heck it is.  Of course, I've never tried it not knowing what it is...

It sounds like it's a buffered mps product, similar to Renew from Leisure Time. :D
