Towel / Robe Rack
« on: January 14, 2007, 01:00:16 pm »
Hello everyone- So Ive followed the discussions on towel/robe racks for our hot tub as I've been looking for one that was reasonably priced. I was going to just build one as its pretty simply but in shopping target online today I found one on sale for what looks to be a good price that I think would work.  Ill just seal the it when it gets here so it can stand outdoor weather.  Anyway, not sure if they would work for everyone, but i figured I'd send the info off to everyone.
Just go to target.com and search for coat rack. Its on sale for 19.99 and you do have to pay for shipping/tax, but if you dont like it you can return to your local store.. So virtually no pain.

Mark,
Been there, Done that. Not a good experience. Very light weight and fragile. Tipped over with hardly any wind and broke off the wooden hooks coming off the trunk. Cheaply made and not worth fixing after a couple of them broke. Make sure you put a lot of weight on base to hold it in place and don't put anything to heavy on the hooks as it won't hold up IMHO.

TheArm-  thanks for input. I think im going to support it by attaching it to my storage bench which is right next to the tub.
We"ll see. Im hoping it will work in my situation.

Mark, Which storage bench do you have?  I was looking at this 99gal 54" wide bench made by suncast.  http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-2/qid=1168812785/ref=sr_1_2/602-9519473-7200649?ie=UTF8&asin=B000357GCC

You might have seen this one. I'm very happy with the Spa Side Towel Tree for $50.

Beach- I have a Delahey 4' Storage Bench (wood) that I found on walmart.com a year ago. I was able to put a lock on it  to keep our kiddies from getting in the chemicals so it works really well.  I dont think they have this particular storage bench any more, just a bench without the storage box.
