2004 Sundance Optima

I have a dealer who has a 2004 Optima that has been sitting in his warehouse for over 2 years.  Does not have waterfall but does have a radio.  Will include package of starter kit, steps, cover and lift, and delivery.  Also it is a red tag because it had one nic in the shell which was fixed.  He is asking $7500 but I think that is to high for a 2+ year old unit, when you can get a new one for $1000 to $1500 more.  I don't believe it has had much water in it except for the initial test and maybe a wet test or two for a customer.  Looking for any thoughts.

The Optima is a great, very popular tub but $7500 for an '04 that had some shell work done is too high, imo. Also if he felt the need to tell you about the nic in the shell it makes me wonder what else might have happened to the tub for it to sit in storage for over two years. :-/

Dealers do not get very big discounts for blemished spas.  $7500 for the Optima w/stereo and still has a 5 year component warranty is reasonable.  

What did they sell the Optima at normally in 2004?

$8800ish with a stereo from what I have seen is what the 2004 Optima sold for NEW in 2004. Don't quote me on this but to my knowledge thats a very close guestimate.

It's not a bad price if it comes with the full factory warranty. When I was looking some of the blem spas did not have a full warranty. You might want to double check.

Are you saying you can get an 07' for 1,000-1,500 more? If so, I would go that route. I'm sure it won't include the stereo though.

Definitely too high IMO. Someone sure needs to account for their inventory better!
