A Brand New Jacuzzi J-355 for Christmas
« on: December 11, 2006, 11:14:53 pm »
After looking, searching, and researching for almost a full year, earlier today my Wife and I purchased a Jacuzzi J-355.  We are so excited and will have a hard time waiting until next Monday when the Spa Stork will deliver (and setup) our first hot tub.

We were really looking hard at a 345 but the dealer came through with some "creative" accounting and a year end sale and we ended up getting the 355 for the same/sale price that the 345 was being advertised for.

As for features, we really like the PowerPro jets including foot jets, cooldown seat, and the tax considerations since this is a therapy tub.  Also, with 2 kids at home, seats 4 very comfortably

Would you mind sharing what you paid, what it included, and what part of the country you are in?

Thanks and congrats.  Enjoy your new spa!

Here in balmy Southeast Idaho, I paid 6695 which included tub, cover, steps, and some chemical.  I added the hydraulic lifter for 249 extra.  Electrical work was completed today and tub will be delivered Monday.

Thanks!  What was the deciding factor for you on the 355?  I am considering the 345, 365 and 470.

Probably the jet arrangement and the large jets for the feet.  The 365 has the hump in the center for feet, but we liked the larger feet jets.  I guess, also, I just could not make myself  pay over 7k.

The 365 and 470 have the same electronics which is superior to the electonics in the 345.  The 345 uses the LED electronics which is the same as the 700 series Sundance spas.  The 355 and above uses the LCD electronics which is in the 800 series SD spas and is an excellent controller.

I got in my tub last night, which is a sister to your tub. I think it was the best feeling soak I ever had to this date. I was real tired, been on concrete all day, 12 hours. I ate dinner had that glass of red wine, and jumped in. Boy did it feel good. Afterwords  I went to bed. A tornado hit my house last night, they found me still asleep in the yard.  ;)

Tub delivered late yesterday afternoon.  Delivery and set-up crew were wonderful.  They coordinate with the electrician so that it can all be done at once.  Tub delivered at 3:30p and was full of water and heating by 4:30p.  This morning at 5:30a when I awoke, the outside temp was about 5 degrees but the tub was at 101 and inviting us for a soak--to which we obliged.

All is good.............
