what is your standard position in tub
« on: December 09, 2006, 03:24:50 pm »
Just wondering on how all you people prefer to position yourself in the tub. Examples like sitting up to your neck with just your head sticking out or water being mid-chest, arms inside or out of tub, feet dangling of the edge or just up to your waist. Also do oyu spend more time in lounger or sitting upright. One more is do you use the seats as made or try out your own creations using several at a time.

I try to get as submered as possible. I mostly sit upright but occasionally I like to sprawl out across a couple of seats. That's one of the nice features of an open seated spa, you don't really need a lounger. :)

knees on the seat, leaning over the edge screaming "A LITTLE TO THE LEFT!!"  I hate when the dog pees on the tub!  >:( :o
And for relaxing, it depends on the outdoor temp, and if I'm cold....if I'm freezing, I get close to the hot water coming from the footwell...sitting IN the footwell..during "normal" moments, sitting in one of the corner (deeper) seats...if I get overly warm, one of the higher seats, or I bring my arms out of the water to help regulate body temp. My hubby uses the cool down seat more than I do.

I dont know if you all knew this or not, but jets also serve a secondary purpose other than just therapy value!!!! :o.  I seem to have to the front of my body pushed up agianst the jets, this is the best, maybe not appropriate, but still the best.

Wait a miniute, was that out loud?????

Just kidding, my wife thinks I am sick.

sorry all that hype and I forgot to give my answer, I prefer being in as deep under water without drowning when the water is calm.  When the jets are on, I like to be in the cool down seat half out of water.

I do that too, but not for that reason. I kneel on my deepest seat and press my chest against the jets after a hard chest workout. It works great. :)

Just got out of my tub......it was about 45 degrees and misting.

These things are worth the money!  ;)

As far as soaking positions.....I tend to move around alot...

Almost always try to keep a foot on the foot dome.

I love my foot dome.

I like to sometimes sit on what I call the mid-level seats
where my upper body is out the water....then when I get
chilled it's nice slipping back down in the hot water.

ps: GO COWBOYS!

Now this is who I need in my tub!

By far the lounger. I get very relaxed in it. If I have muscles that need therapy then I use another seat.

Maybe I am weird...It appears that I am the ONLY one in here who pulls an "Altered States" and floats arms stretched out feet extended and stares at the stars.  Ears underwater drowning out pretty much ANY sounds.  One of the reasons I bought a 91x91 tub was just so I could do this little routine. I am 185lbs/5' 10" and I can do this without touching hardly anything at all.
...The gene pool could use a little chlorine....
