Pristine Blue instead of Chlorine?

I've been reading about Pristine Blue, seems to be an alternative to Chlorine. Has anyone here used it?

I used to sell Pristine Blue.  I stop selling it for a reason.  There was a small percentage of customers who could keep the water clean.  The ones who did love the system.  But most couldn't keep the tub clean.

 Same here the people that could make it work loved it, the others hated it.

 We stopped selling it couple years ago.

Hmm, I wonder why so many couldn't get it working right you guys stopped selling it.
Did you personally ever use it?

There's a pool/spa (Saratoga) store near me that sells it, maybe I'll pay them a visit.

    I tried it on our showroom models and it worked fine but that cant be compared to normal everyday use.  I think the people that used the pristine blue and hated it over did it and worried about it to much.  The ones who like it use very little of the product and and dont stress over it.

 The one thing about it you can try it, if it doesnt work you can switch to something else.

Pristine Blue, like many of the other bacteriacides, should be used with a little dichlor, IMO.  It is not a sanitizer.  I believe that it uses copper to break down bacteria.  Metals work well with chlorine, but for most won't work alone.  Also, bacteria isn't the only bug lurking in waters and these won't touch them.
