starry, starry night

Quite possibly the greatest soak ever. Last night there was a meteor shower over the East skies of Ohio. Being that I am an avid star watcher, I couldn't miss it. I laid in my tub with jets and blowers off with my lovely lady and saw some of the most spectacular sky displays imaginable. I didn't foresee this event when I contemplated getting a tub, but it makes perfect sense to me now. What better way to watch a winter meteor shower than in a tub of 104 water? Anybody else have the pleasure of experiencing this?

Too cloudy around here to see the night sky.  Sounds nice, though.

No meteors, but the family WAS able to see a rocket launched from Vandenberg and  ascend into the twilight and orbit while we were all out soaking.  An incredible, rare, and spectacular sight.

Here in Southern Ontario, I could not believe the number of "shooting stars" last night.  It was a great night for a soak and a look at the sky!

I'm probably 90 miles east of  you. We went out last night at 11pm, and all sat in the tub facing Castor and Pollux in the east, where this series was eminating from. In 30 minutes we saw 4 or 5. In the latter part of that high thin clouds started coming in.  We would have seen more, but my hillbilly neighbor now feels he has to leave his back porch light on all night.  

Oh, with the warmer weather this week, we cut it back to 103.  It was 102 and the heater just kicked on when we got out at 11:30

My neighbor's lights just accidentally go out when I want to star gaze. It usually takes them about a week to figure out that the bulb is just unscrewed.

crummy night last night.  Where abouts in souther ontario are you.  I am in Hamilton.

I am just east of Toronto in Whitby.  Sky was clear about 10pm last night.  Great night for a meteor shower.

my wife is from pickering.  We will be there next week.  Whitby is a good area, not to close to Oshawa, which is nice.
