Hardest Workin' Man in the Spa Industry!
« on: July 18, 2007, 05:40:31 pm »
Since all work and no play makes you feel less than gay, and since the Great Texas Balloon Race was cancelled this year, we decided to take our crew over to the shithole city of Shreveport to watch an arena football game last weekend.  We have a private booth with a Tiger River Caspian set up with 6 season tickets for our customers.  Since none of us have ever been to the game, we went over to check it out.

The boss swung by the store and picked me up in the motor home.  Stefan, Ronnie, Kim, Mary Beth, and me enjoyed some loverly beer and caviar on the way to the game:

CenturyTel Arena played host to the festivities:

Our booth is inside the Arena Club, which is nice because you don't have to share bathrooms with the riffraff:

Mary Beth played hostess since we were in her territory:

The seats were in the end zone.  We had to kick some kids out that won tickets on the radio as a charity promotion:

Since Mary Beth was new, she didn't realize the necessity of proper hygiene when it's spa related:

Stefan, being from Africa, was not afraid of the giant Watusi Bird:

Also, being in charge of our warehouse, his neatness gene kicks in whenever confronted with the opportunity:

One of my customers is the Segway rep for the area.  He brings the ball out on the field in between quarters and puts on a scooter show for the heatherns:

Front row seats are pretty dang nice:

Stefan, being from Africa and illegal, is always looking to make a quick buck (like he was from Nigeria or something).  He was scalping mayonnaise packets in the parking lot, made a buck fitty:

We had 11:00 reservations at Jack Binion's Steakhouse at the Horseshoe Casino.  I got the 38 oz cowboy cut ribeye w/ taragon butter and garlic cooked medium rare:

Stefan had the same:

Ronnie had the same whilst the boss had the little girly man 20 oz ribeye.  Ronnie and I split some portabello mushrooms and wilted spinach salad with raspberry vinagerette:

We all then had creme brulee for dessert.  Finished dinner at about 2 am.

The drive back to Texas was a long one:

All the children slept in the back:

Today was rough as my boss came by and we went and bought a movie that I had only seen part of whilst visiting the Master Spa Show a couple of weeks ago, Talladega Nigths: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.  That was the longest damn movie I'd ever seen.  People kept coming in and we'd have to stop the movies and hide our beer.  Sold a Grandee and a Prodigy, got our cars detailed by Doc Rock (my old homeboy who is still keeping his pimp hand strong while running a legitimate auto detailing buisiness), met with the BaquaSpa and Textron reps, and also the cable TV guy who is installing new cable internet service.  The movie took almost 6 hours to watch!:

As some of you may remember from the olden days, my brother has a fight school where he teaches hand to hand combat and trains some professional fighters.  One of his guys stopped by today (JD Alexander) to soak his ankle in anticipation of his first pro fight coming up Saturday in Missouri:

He's a damn good kid and can really fight.  He whoops me on a regular basis and I outweigh him by a hunnert pounds!

I gave him some sponsorship money and he is proudly advertising our company wherever he goes:

Looks like you are really suffering at work Chris. ;D ;D

One personal comment...
Arena Football is to the NFL as T-Ball is to Baseball ;D

I just don't get how people are so pumped up about Arena Football :-?

Agreed.  I'm not even sure who won the game.  Quincy Carter (the former Cowboy QB) was the quarterback for the Shreveport Battlewings.  The folks at the game were really into it.  I just went along for the beer, food, and comraderie.  Professional sports totally and completely suck, along with video games and network television.

Hey Term

From one of those Steakhouse pics, it looks like that Mongolian body rot you had on your hands has cleared up real good.  You rightly kept your shoes on in restaurant so I can't get a reading on the feet situation.  Looks like the trip to the Photoshop, errh.... I mean, the Doctor, did you world of good.  Good to see you back on your hands.

Thank you sir!  Copious amounts of Shiner Bock combined with cigar smoke and Louisiana hookers dissipated the fungus and restored my health...I give them all the credit and strongly recommend them for all ailments, both real and feigned.

Here's another video for you Bonibelle.  It illustrates proper parenting techniques that others should follow in order to raise well-mannered children.  It also shows the strength of our spa covers.  Just click on the baby's head to play:

We had Kim's retirement party at On the Border Mexican Restaurant last evening.  Kim's daughter is starting college at Southwest Texas State in San Marcos so she is transferring to a new job in that area to be near her daughter.  She's a great gal and we will miss her:

They didn't have Shiner Bock, so I had to settle for Ziegenbock.  Tweren't bad.  You can see how much more manly it is compared to the pitiful little Coors Light:
