Greetings from the land of the fridgid!!!!
« on: December 03, 2006, 01:45:26 pm »
In the last week, western North Dakota has seen -40 wind chill temperatures, ice storms and power outages. This is a harsh enviroment for a spa and even harsher for a spa tech. Thankfully we've had no service calls during this deep freeze.

I haven't used my spa for a week, -15 is my limit. But today the temps are going to be around 10 above and thats perfect tubbing weather. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.... 8-)

It sounds like hot tubbin' in your neck of the woods is a lot like flying.
Once your in the tub, its fine, but those take offs and landings must be something to contend with!
If you don't have anything nice to say about someone, come sit next to me.

I do believe those are unfavorable conditions for tubbing!  We're going through a bit of winter ourselves here in Colorado:

What a man will endure for a little hot tubbing!

I am glad that I am not alone dealing with such frigid conditions.  I have spent more time shovelling around my deck and hottub than I did on the driveway last winter.

Here in Central Ohio, tonight it is supposed to bottom out at around 15F,  Thats the coldest of the season so far. Since owning our tub, the coldest temp has been 4F. That night was no wind, so it was perfect for soaking and that is our record so far.

Awesome pics pg. I would do anything for snow around my tub. It was 75 degrees today at my place. It doesn't seem right putting up the x-mas tree with shorts and flip flops.

hey pg, funny pics, looks great.  Last pic has me a little concerned. With that facial expression, I really question what is going on under the water. ;D ;D  I cant wait for the snow.

I too, could not picture a christmas without the cold and snow.

PG Rider,
I think it would be a whole lot more comfortable if you would lose the trunks. They must freeze in a hurry when you get out. Also you don't lose as much water without the suit.

I got a kick out of your pics pg. We had 9" of snow on Friday preceded by about 2-3 hours of freezing drizzle here in Chicago. I had to almost hammer and chisel the composite left on the cover to get it open (obviously with heavy clothes on). What a mess!

I understand what thearm is saying, but if you do decide to go that route, pls reserve the pics. I'm not sure this audience (me especially) is ready for that! One thing you do need for Christmas (can I say that word here?) is a nice heavy robe, however. The wife and I are exchanging good terrycloth ones now that winter is finally here. I find it a bit chilly going and returning from our tub with just a towel (as you are modeling).

Whoever took the pics is not getting any credit for being in the cold! And I bet whoever that was had to run the camera back inside before getting in the water!
