Is the Marquis IONIZER system the same thing as the Microban system?

Microban is something that is built into particular spa shells.  This feature comes on all of the granite spas that Marquis offers.  I don't know what an ionizer is?  Could you be thinking of the ozonator (uses ozone to kill bacteria) or the mineral cartridge that uses silver ions?

From my experience, you won't be able to tell if a tub does or doesn't have microban

my tub shell is microban protected.  I dont know if if does anything, but I have not had any issues with the tub with respect to bacteria or odour.  Maybe its because I am nuts about dirty water.

My spa doesn't have microban, and I also haven't had issues with bacteria.  
 Like was said earlier, if your maintenance routine isn't adequate, microban isn't going to help.

Dynasty is offering something they call in Ionizer on their new Advantage line.   My dealer, before closing their doors tried to get me into one.   It was a nice looking tub.
