I only wish I had a .50 cal!

You and me both.  At least you live somewhere where you could actually fire one of those without having every SWAT team in a 25 mile radius dispatched.

On the other hand, don't those .50 BMG rounds sell for a couple bucks each?
Wonder how easy it would be to reload for that.........???
A bit more powder than the 4 grains of Bullseye I use in my .45 acp loads, I suspect.

Wow that's $3-$4 a round. I'd be chasing after those bullets at that price.

A Carpenter that worked on my house has one for sell. He showed me the damn thing and I could hardly lift it. He said the ammo was 2.00 a round.  This one was a S/W. I have a right to carry permit and I'm just now getting into some lets say interesting guns.  :)

I am going to be getting my permit soon.
I'm starting out with a small revolver though. I'll leave those big guys to you all.

Leave it to Kalifornia to do something like banning that rifle.  Like your typical criminal or gang banger (same thing, I guess) totes one of those around.

Pretty spendy ammo- still, I'd love the chance to fire off a few rounds, just for the fun of it.
This is one place where doing your own reloads could really save, but if you can afford $7.5K for the gun, I guess you could afford the ammo, too.

Smith and Wesson does make a .50 cal revolver, but not a .50 cal rifle. The .50 cal rifles fire the 50 BMG (Browning Machine Gun) round. The BMG compared to the the Smith revolver round is, no comparison:
50 BMG

S&W .500

To keep this relevant, a properly trained and equipped individual can take you out in your hot tub from over 2,000 yards away with a 50bmg.

Happy tubbing!

I use a MP-3 player in a ziplock bag and water resistant Sony headphones. The headphones have close to a 6' cord so not a big deal. I don't listen to music a lot out there but sometimes it's nice to soak and listen to music.

I have no comments on the bullets.  :D
