Yeah, so much for being strong and independent! Though I'd not be real happy without a coverlifter, either.

Trixie, what did you not like about the lifter that your dealer had? There's lots available, and I'd get one ASAP as it'll definitely add to the enjoyment of your tub. Check rhtubs.com for good descriptions.

I have the CM 1 which is super simple, inexpensive, and still manageable for a small-ish person like me.......WHOLE lot better than nothing! There are some that require more room than others behind the tub, some that have hydraulic assist, and are SUPER easy to use.......If I had it all to do over again, I'd go hydraulic, since my cover is bigger and heavier than average. If I remember right, yours is a pretty big tub, so a bit more assistance could be really nice.
