Trixie's bubbles...
« on: November 08, 2006, 02:24:54 pm »
That crazy  ;DTrixie  ;Dmust have dumped a whole bottle of bubble bath in the spa at one of her wild parties. :-*
So, now I'm left with random under garments and bubbles...lots of bubbles!  What's a girlfriend to do about all these bubbles??? :o
Is there a de-bubbler or anti-bubbler on the market?

Scoop out as much foam as you can, then add the smallest amount of defoamer that takes the rest out.  Then keep the suds outa spa- though fun, it can be a pita to fix.
Or if your water is nearing that point, just dump and refill.

When you go to the spa shoppe to get this stuff you have to ask for it using the correct terminology, which is actually un-bubbler.

Trixie, how about a picture?

I tried to post photos of the beautiful view from the spa, however I couldn't get them here.  I'll try again.

Trixie had a huge party after the voting polls closed.  I think she owed a few customers  friends a few favors!   ;)

Do the bubbles actually cause damage to the spa?
'Cuz, adding a bottle or two of bubble bath to the spa is fun.  How about if it's done the day before dumping the water?  Any harm in that?

I found a bottle of ANTI-FOAM, however it says that you can use it only 4 times between dumping water.  Now, I'm wondering if this stuff is unhealthy, or if it throws off the test results?

Hi Hot Tub Frank...
it's nice to know someone cares!   :)

By your name, I can tell you are enthusiastic about your hot tub!  Me too!!!
I use it three or more times per day!  Actually, I was a Flight Attendant and got hurt when an emergency slide and I fought it out!!!  The slide won!!!  ;D
So, far the jets are working wonders for my achy back.

I got some "Spa Foam Down", and put it in a spray bottle I got at Home Depot for $3.  I diluted it to half strength, and I spray it directly on the foam.

This way, it goes right where I need it, and I use a lot less.

I get some foam after each monthly filter cleaning, because no matter how much I rinse, I can't seem to get all the soap out of the filter cartridges.

I'm so not following this...

If you are purposefully adding a bubble making product to the spa, such as bubble bath, I would assume that is because you want bubbles.  Why then would you be wanting to use a defoaming product?  Wouldn't that, I dunno, take away the bubbles you just added?  Is it you just want bubbles sometime, but not all the time?  How bout you wash your swim suit and wear that in the tub once, (then quickly take it off if you prepare to go without)... that should give you some bubbles for a day or two.

I guess I just don't get it.

I do remember a post on here a long time ago by a regular in the business who said he did let his kids have a bubble bath on occasion before water changes.  So... I wouldn't think its that horrible on the spa, but i think rinsing the filters good would be a PITA.

Actually, the slides on the airplane are for emergency evacuation.  That's what I was doing...we had an emergency and I deployed my slide, it mal-functioned and got hurt.

I have had some wild times in the aircraft, but that day wasn't one of them.
