Sundance Maxxus Filter

Sundance Maxxus dealers and owners.  What is your opinion on the Microclean II filtration system.  I think this filter should be changed at least twice per year.  My dealer says once per year.  I don't even know that I can clean that filter short of a good washing with the hose which I do every 90 days.
What does everyone else think?

Doesn't anyone have an opinion on this.  Dealers?  Sundance owners?  Buehler, Buehler?

My Sundance doesn't have your filtering system.  But it's my understanding that this filter is disposable, so you don't clean it, just replace.
If you want to replace the filter at 6 months, go ahead.
You're the best judge of when it needs replacing.
Others have reported a 9 month or so life out of this filter, I suppose it all depends on your water and usage habbits.
What's it say about the subject in your owners manual?

The owners manual is quite generic to say the least and pretty much leaves it up to the owners discretion. I was hoping to discover if anyone out there noticed water issues that stemmed from the filter being changed once annually.  I think this particular fllter system is fairly good and wanted others input as to their thoughts.

I've heard of them either collapsing inward or else literally falling apart, both of which are excellent indicators that's it's time for a new one... :)
