Non Chlorine shocks; Is there a difference?
« on: October 25, 2006, 11:23:49 am »
I've been using the term "MPS" to refer to my non chlorine shock (Leisure Time's Renew). However, I understand it's not  Monopersulfate,    but rather Potassium Peroxymonosulfate.

Is there much difference?

Same thing, its in the name:  Potassium PERoxyMONOSULFATE  Mono Per Sulfate

Just a fancy way of saying it. Notice the Oxy for Oxidizer.

Better your cheek than your chin.  ;D
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals
