I agree.  My experiences have also been its how you use the deck that counts!!!!

It is BIG but it all gets used. I do a lot of entertaining and my original deck was only 10X30(way to small). I have seating for at least 25 people now and when I do BBQ, there is plenty of room for everyone(neighbors and their kids)

Doesn't a well-planned deck become another room of the house?  I'll bet that you use your yard a lot more now.
