The Niagra just rolled into place....
It rocks....about 1/3 of an inch....no water in  it yet.

I have looked at the pad....looks level.  I need to nwo go out and get an 8' level...
With a 4' it's almost perfect....can't be 1/3 of an inch off

A couple thousand pounds of water ought to fix that rocking problem pretty quick...

I have the same issue, but luckily I own a Hot Springs, so I was able to shim it.

He should be able to shim his Caldera, right?  I'm assuming the frames are the same from Watkins.

My understanding is that HS is the only shimmable spa. There are diagrams of shim points in the HS manual. If there are similar diagrams in the Caldera manuals then you are probably right.

I didn't see the shim points in the Caldera manual or pre-delivery book and thought it was strange they didn't have it in there, because Hot Spring shows the shim points.  I guess you could be right.  That's odd if no other spa has shim points.  Well, I guess it's not so odd........Hot Spring has numerous items not found on other spas  ;)    Just a joke, settle down everyone.

Pete, sorry to hear about the news. :(  I would definitely have them replace the slab instead of shimming. I would not have my spa supported by shims on both ends having only the center in full contact with the actual subfloor. If it was just one ok, but both now way. I would think that would void the waranty too. Just my opinion.  Tileman

I saw a "This Old House" episode where they actually cut the concrete to be even. It looked like a buffing machine and they ground down the raised areas ... I wonder if they could do that for you?

Can't you shim just about anything?

Just ask Mr Gaylord Focker!

Greg Focker: You can milk just about anything with nipples.
Jack Byrnes: I have nipples, Greg, could you milk me?

HS Grandee is not suppose to be shimmed.
