Romance vs.  clean water...
« on: October 17, 2006, 02:09:39 pm »
Ok, most of you are going to get a laugh at of this, but I am serious.....
Let's just say that someone I know...uh, a friend, that's right, a friend just got a big new 650 gallon LA Spa and "my friend"  and her husband celebrated the arrival of their spa by having LOTS of....  uh,  romance, ok?  Woo Hoo!  ;)   ;)
Now, "my friend" wants to know if the water has to be dumped?
If so, should the water  be dumped everytime there is, uh....romance?
I know "my friend" doesn't want to be flooding the neighborhood with regular tub draining.  So, does anyone know what I can tell "my friend" concerning keeping the water clean?

Also, why can't you go from Bromine to Chlorine?
Which one is best for ...romance active tub? :-* :-* :-*

Spa info:  LA Spa Paradise H-2,  650 gal, 3 pumps, 3-washable filters,  textured shell.
(I think the "H" in Paradise H-2 stands for Hormonal)  LOL ;D

Thanks,
Bama

PS:  My friend's name is Trixie   ::)   ::)

I will probably get this thread locked or moved because I'm not afraid to answer it.   :)

Romance happens often in our tub... however there is a no 'swimmer rule' in effect, so at which time 'swimming' may occur the romance is finished in a different method in which to not yuckify the tub.  I also add a little extra chlorine than I normally would.

You Rock Oh Bama!

Let's talk organic material here for a moment.  If I suspected a virus, I would not engage in any activity that would release it into my spa.  Assuming no virus, you have to use a sanitizer/oxidizer to break down the organic material and kill any "bad stuff".   This is basic spa sanitation 101.  As long as you are watching and testing your water carefully, I don't think you should be dumping it after every soak.

Please have Trixi call me. I need to talk with her one on one.  ;)

Actually, and to be a complete adult here, unless there were signigicant amout of bodily fluids introduced into the water, then sanitizing the tub should be fine.  After all we are talking about organic matter. The only concern I'd personaly would have is to ensure the Trixi's partner is  usm... dosen't um....let's just say have it would be best if   he was "discrete"   A small amout should be a problem  but it's 's just gross. But Chlorine and good filter  should take care of the casual indescretion.

Now, if trixi is using exotic lubes, then that can cause other water problems....

Pick out the swimmies, hit with chlorine and no shower caps for protection - cholrine could eat the showercap up!

If the swimimes make it to the filter, clean the filters off with a hose (make that garden hose unless your refering to romance in the garden as well  ;), then it's the hose that goes onto the spigot) like you would if there clarifier was used.

I'm glad you're friend is ENJOYING their your new tub!!! 8-)

We found a 100% effective solution for the "luv in the tub" problem.  It works as follows:

- Take (1) 16 year old teenage boy
- Add drivers license
- Boy leaves house (with permission) for a number of hours

This would normally lead to a "luv in the tub" opportunity.  However:

- Boy randomly comes home unannounced
- No way to hear Boy driving up the driveway
- Boy appears in back yard

This scenario causes the entire problem to be a non-issue.   ::)

WARNING - This is bound to offend someone so please receive this post with th humor intended and not some political bent.....

I have a "gently used" model from 1966 that doesn't seem to share Trixie's exhuberance for "Romance".  She is only around 120lbs and has been well maintained.  Any ideas of how I could get her interested in Trixie's idea's?  Does Trixie offer personal consulation services (ah, er, to the 1966 model of identical gender, not me, the 1962 model of alternate gender) I know I can get a trade in but the depreciation cost on these things is KILLER (especially since before the two assets, she used to enjoy "romance").  LOL! :o
...The gene pool could use a little chlorine....

My boss told his wife that he is going to trade her in for 2 20-year olds.  She told him he wasn't wired for 220.
