Clothes or san clothes?
« on: October 03, 2006, 02:38:51 pm »
I ran across a website that posted the question "Nude or not Nude?" I found it entertaining. I am now a couple of months out on buying a hot tub and I have restated that exact question to friends and workers and have received a wide variety of responses. One that I found interesting is, "clothes or suits will bring unwanted chemicals into your spa", at first I laughed at that response, but now I would like to know is there any truth to that?

Absolutely true.  You want to avoid wearing swim suits/clothing in that has experienced a sudsy washing machine as it will cause foaming.  The rinse cycle of a washer just doesn't rinse out 100% of the detergent.

And, anyway, it's a lot more fun sans suits! ::)

Not only that, but suits can scratch the surface of the spa, cause possible plumbing blockage, reduce the effectiveness of the filter by plulgging it with threads and lint, and a whloe slew of other problems.

NO no, suits are not a good thing at all...... There's is though a weight / age exception.

If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals
