New web site started - just started
« on: June 21, 2005, 11:47:35 pm »
Well, amidst all the constuction, hiring and general running of the biz, I have actually found time to buy a web domain or three, and I have put up a temporary web site. My son will create the final version, I have no time.

Not a very polished site to say the least, but it's a start.

Hey Chas; what other lines of patio are you considering besides Hannamint (nice line) and Alu-mont?

Have you looked into Tropitone, Homecrest, OW Lee, Beka Castings or other lines also?

Looks great, Chas!  You should really take a break, at least sometime!

I checked the Caldera dealer locator, just for kicks (I'm turning into Bill  ;)), and I have a Caldera dealer in Stillwater now (where my nearest HotSpring dealer is located, hmmm...imagine that)!  When I was shopping, the local Caldera dealer was in Kansas!

In addition to Hanamint and Alu-Mont we have Woodard, Jensen Jarrah, OW Lee, an arrangement with another dealer for Tropitone and Mallin. But this is a new store in a new area, and some of those lines are already represented. So we are trying to meet with all our reps and some new ones to see what mix makes the most sense.

I'll look into Beka, hadn't heard of them though my wife most likely has: she's the buyer for our 'patio department.' We are trying to add a trip to Chicago to our busy schedules ASAP.

Boot Barn

Ventura Boot Barn

The folks who work at this Boot Barn are generally young attractive women. The fun part is watching them come out after closing time in their bluejeans and boots, and climb into pickup trucks brandishing bumber-stickers or license frames with sayings like:
"Cowyboy Butts drive me nuts"
"Silly Boy, Trucks are for Girls"
"Girls Rule and Boys Drool"
and the every-popular:
"Stay back, Driver chews tobacco"

Rugged individuals, to say the least.

How bout some of the Boot Barn employees,(females naturally)wearing their brand of boots, and color coordinated bikinis, standing next to your spas?
Heck,it could only help promote your business and theirs as,what manly man doesn't like seeing girls in scad clothing, wearin boots?

Just an idea :)

My vote is for leather bikinis
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

So, as I was sayin' ...

I'm just getting started on my new website. My web designer is putting together a complete new look for both stores.

More as it happens.

... and maybe I'll have an expanded photo section with shots of installations we have done, and a page for anyone at all who would like to have their hard work shown off.

And of course, used spas, and a new chemical section.

:)

Oh, BTW we are making very slow progress on the web sites. We are trying to rebuild both at the same time.

Here's an update...

Spas Etc

Pictures are coming, and the Caldera site will look much the same.
