Would someone please tell me, do you add the Dichlor before or after using the hot tub?  I just know I need to add the stuff.

Thanks

That's really up to you, but I like to do it after.  I figure doing it after kills off whatever we left behind & then leaves nice clean water for next use.  If I don't get in it that night, the next morning I add a small amount so it doesn't go 48 hrs w/o having at least a little added.

For an average size tub

1 teaspoon per person after you use the tub

If you want to get real fancy, you can fine tune the measurement by taking a chlorine residual reading 20 minutes after using your tub and it should read about 3 ppm

I also dose after use.  That way the bad guys get nuked, and the chlorine level is very low for the next use.  If we go a couple days without using the spa, I add some in between.

For me, 2 tsps. brings up the chlorine to the suggested level.
I'll add more for a higher bather load, usually it's just the 2 of us.
 I use a couple TBSP's to shock.

As long as prior to your use, the water's nice and clear with small residual 0.5-3ppm of free chlorine. Add dichlor when you're done with your soak.
