My Neighbor is looking for a tub, suggestions?
«

Hello all.
My neighbor just called and he is looking for a tub.
He has one restriction - a maximum width of 6'4" (that's 76" eh!)
He is 6'2" and his wife is 5'4"
He is looking to spend about $7000.00 Canadian
Thanks
Steve

How about Hotspring Jetsetter or Prodigy? Caldera Martinique or Kauai? How many seats is he looking for?

Keep them coming guys and thanks.
He is looking for something to fit 5 or 6 (four adults or two adults and 3 or 4 kids)

I would check out the following better known/made brands, visit their websites, and check out their product line. All sites give the dimensions.
Hotspring
Caldera
Sundance
Marquis
D1
Jacuzzi
Artesian
Arctic
Tiger River/Solana
Bullfrog
That's a good start!

I am not a salesman. Previously owned a Hot Springs and a Tiger River (same company..). I don't care what your neighbors end up buying as long as THEY do THEIR homework, and buy a tub that they will be proud of -- that is all that matters.
Anyway, have your neighbors check out the Nordic Spas (Grand Rapids, MI). As stated earlier, I have owned a few very fine tubs, but none has pleased me more than the Nordic Crown XL. It should even please your neighbors budget.
Have them check it out (or don't). Don't be swayed by negative replies posted by salespeople because BUYING a tub is NOT a competition, but selling them IS. Get your biggest bang for the loon, eh?

Thanks for all the replies so far but let me stress the initial question and please understand that I own a Marquis Epic and love my tub, not my dealer! I want him to find the right tub for him, not me. So I ask the question:
My neighbor just called and he is looking for a tub.
He has one restriction - a maximum width of 6'4" (that's 76" eh!)
The length does not matter
He is 6'2" and his wife is 5'4"
He is looking to spend about $7000.00 Canadian
To add, he has three children, 5, 7 and 9 and wants room for the family or two adult couples.
Specific model recommendation would be appreciated

Thanks again
Steve

I don't know if your nieghbor can sqeeze out a couple more inches or not. The Bullfrog 451 is 6'7" wide, if they can sqeeze it out its a real nice small tub.

Prodigy would be about the most spacious HS tub he could go with. Has six jet seats but room for four-five.

The problem with the size restriction is that most tubs less than 76" in one direction will also be shorter. Most of the tubs and brands mentioned may only have a 33" height or less which means Mr 6'2" neighbor is going to take up the footwell with his legs. Have him look for a tub that is 38" deep or more, like the 2 Beachcombers I mentioned previously, for comfort, because if they both aren't comfortable in the tub they will stop using it.
