Sundance Maxxus for 17K??
« on: September 06, 2006, 05:59:07 pm »
I couldn't believe it when I heard it.

Any Sundance dealers actually have them for this much?  Or is that just an all-inclusive sticker-shock style pitch that you're able to give people tons of good news on?

We just bought a brand new one, cover, cover lift and chems for $12,800.00.  What else are they throwing in, a lifetime supply of chemicals?

I'm not sure what was being thrown in, one of my customers was doing the shopping.  I'm fairly certain it was the stereo option as well as lifter and everything else, I just didn't know if that was standard for the model or high.

That is the second or third person that has mentioned that price.  There was a poster on the forum on poolsearch.com that said the same thing.  I can tell you the dealer via PM if you really want to know.  I thought the price was insane.

A fully loaded Beachcomber 750 is $18,500 Canadian.  I think the stereo is something like $2500.

Trust me I don't take offense, but you should look in the mirror. EVERYBODY is a sales person. You didn't get the job you have with out SELLING your abilitys to your employer. You didn't get the wife/girlfriend, boyfrien/husband you have with out SELLING your ability to provide, financialy, emotionaly etc. All are sales, sales are all.

No everyone is NOT a sales person. You are ridiculous.
You must be one to believe that.

I'm a network engineer, so I am VERY far from sales world. I DON'T word things is such a way that persuades people to believe something that is not real. I also don't lie.

Painting with a pretty wide brush, there.

I'm not a sales person either, but without them a lot of companies, including the one I work for, wouldn't exist.

Like any other group, including network engineers (I'm not one of those either, but I do work with them a lot) there are good ones and not so good ones.

Out of curiousity, how does the company that employs you generate it's revenue.

My company uses salesmen and women- they bring in the dollars that pay my fat salary.

I never said without them the world wouldn't go around. I just said I hate them.

No salesbags as far as I know.

As a IT guy you don't tell the bosses the fix is going to take a little more time than you know it will to get some "goof off" time or tell them its going to take less than you know it is to get them off your back? You don't over state your equipment needs a little to get the newer hotter stuff?

I'm not a salesman, I'm in Law Enforcement and believe it or not my job is all about sales. My disclaimer -
i was evilest of salesman to get through college - a telemarketer! But, unless your locked in your server room 24/7 getting to personal with your CPUs you indulge in sales every once in awhile.

By the way, I hate people that work in hospitals- they always smell funny - just kidding!  ;)

Getting pretty personal there aren't you.  I know many honorable sales people.  People who really try to help people make good decisions and not just there for the buck.  There are some out there, but you can't tell me there isn't slime in every profession.  I think your comment shows your arrogance.
