fair price on 2006 Caspian?
« on: August 21, 2006, 08:01:13 pm »
I have been doing research and am wet testing wednesday. I previously bought a Caldera spa from them so I know I like the dealer and their service.

I'm looking at $6900.00 with a cover, lifter, steps, box, delivery and setup. Can I do better or is that a decent price?

Great price.  With all those extras we don't sell it for less than 8.

Keep looking. You can get a much better tub for that kind of money.
By much better, I mean equivalent quality, with much better performance and features.

That doesn't answer the question.

I'm also looking at the HS Vanguard for $8000.00 out the door with the same deal (lifter, steps, box, install, delivery). I'm open to thoughts on that option too.

wet test will be for both tubs side by side wednesday.

that's a good price on the vanguard. You must be coming into our store, I've got both of those filled! Caspian-Sand/ Redwood & Vanguard-Sterling Marble/ C.Grey with covercradle. 1 inside, 1 outdoors.

actually I'm in Indiana. So all things considered which of the 2 tubs do you prefer. Is the Vanguard worth the extra grand?

if you can get past the two motojets, barrier-free seating design, 100% filtration and standard cd ozone, then you'll want the casipan. To me, the caspian is very comfortable and i like the dome of foot jets. My favorites are the spin jets( both have them), next is the motomassage. You'll test soak, so you will like one more than the other. Good luck, you won't be sorry!

Aaron,

If you are happy with the Caspian and Vanguard, go for it.  The Caspian is a very high quality product that will last you for years and years.  It sounds to me like sled is being a bit biased - so I will be too.  The Vanguard is a great product as well.  I really like the two Moto seats.  Both have great power, but the Caspian probably has a little more.

Hot Spring has so many accolades in the industry that you know they are doing things right.  The Bengal (Caspian's little brother) won a Consumer's Digest Best Buy and the Hot Spring family is the only company to have been rated a Best Buy all 5 times CD has rated.

So, to sled's comments, I fully disagree.  You can't find a better spa for the same money with more.
The stars at night are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas and my Vanguard!!!

that's a 220 set up?  That's the lowest price I've ever seen on that tub.

I paid $7200 for that same set up (that's with tax)  .   :-[  Most people I spoke to have spent $6800 - $7500.

I am very happy with my Caspain.  I too looked at the Vanguard for about $8200.  My wife and I were not as comfortable in the Vanguard (she was drowing! ) She was much more comfortable in the Caspian.  By all means, wet test.   They are both great tubs, but  I think significantly different in the water thereapy.
