HotSpring is by far the largest maker of Portable spas. They do not classify themselves as makers of "Acrylic Spas" so the claim can stand. If a guy wanted to offer Stainless Steel tubs, and he was the only one, he could say he was the "largest maker of stainless steel hot tubs in the world."

But his whole annual sales might not cover the cost of fax paper at Watkins.

Along similar lines, Jacuzzi is a larger company than Watkins mfg corp. But the part of Jacuzzi which makes portable spas is not very large in comparison to Watkins.

Just a note: they are most likely counting Jacuzzi dealers in with Sundance dealers. That's fine. Adding Caldera, Tiger River, HotSpring et al in one lump would give you closer to 900 dealers in about 50 countries worldwide.

Sounds great and I have thought about growing up to become a rep.

However, I have NO desire to move to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, or Mississippi.

As far as Texas, there is already a gun lovin', right wing, bald hot tub guy there. I 'm not sure if there is room for another ;D

I wonder if the new rep could tempt Term and company to jump ship if they showed up with a complimentary Shiner Bock beer truck and a few million rounds of ammo.

On the Hot springs home page it says....

All our spa shells are constructed from an acrylic surface layer co-laminated to an impact resistant ABS substrate, fused together in a controlled, automated process that ensures a more durable, even surface. "

Sounds like acrylic to me.

Hot Spring Spas are different than acrylic, therefore they don't label themselves as 'acrylic.'  The key is the ABS.

Ok, I'm just opening myself up to get blasted by Mr Moderator, but..............................................................

What is wrong with Oklahoma, Arkansas,  Louisiana, or Mississippi?????????????????????????????????????

I live in one of the above mentioned states (can you guess which one), and it may be hot (as of right now, wait a minute, it will change), windy, and dry, but I love living here.  Even though I am a Longhorn fan!!!

Weren't you complaining about living in Michigan????  We may have lost our GM plant, but we have gained MG!!!

Be careful what you say, you may offend someone!  Namely ME!!!

;)  ;D

Ok, I'm just teasing!  Sort of!!!

I don't live in Arkansas.  But I've been there and think it's one of the most beautiful states in the country.  Parts of Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi are great as well.
And Texas - I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else!

Does it mention that you have to be named "Larry" anywhere in the ad?
