Has anyone had any experience/success with any of the fix-a-leak type products that are added to spa water?

I've never tried any.

A nice lady came into my store yesterday that had an off brand spa who no longer has a dealer in town.  Her spa was leaking and one of the local spatechtuo's told her to sprinkle black pepper in the spa and it would fix any leaks.

Anybody heard of that one?

I do not use Fix-a-Leak but have know some to try and have went and fixed spas where the consumer tried. My opinion if it works at all it is a Band Aid and will not last.

Now that you mention it, I remember many moons ago...black pepper in a car's radiator would supposedly stop a leak. Store-bought radiator products have always been hit and miss. I suppose that's my answer for spa products as well!  Thanks for your replies!

I have found those products just transfer the hole from the spa to the customer's wallet.

The best fix for shell leaks is some MEK and the stuff they make Endurol shells with, along with a power drill.
