Even I'm turning the heat down
« on: July 31, 2006, 07:57:48 am »
our weather has not been as hot as many of you, but for the first time since I bought my tub, our heat has been staying in the 90's every day, with high humidity, and not cooling down out of the 80's at night.  No break this week, so the tub is going down to 100.

Got my tub set at 98....and it still won't go below 101!  Lowering it even more today, as the next couple days are going to be congo hot!  Keeping it open doesn't do much at all.

We're in the middle of the hottest weather in about a decade- today the temperature forecast is 103.
Yesterday it was just about 100.  For the first time since I've owned my spa, the water temperature was above the set temperature.

Here in the notoriously hot/humid southeast it's only suppose to get to 96 degrees.  After reading what you folks are expecting I feel like I should put on a  jacket.

We were in Death Valley a few years ago and it was 106, but dry.  I realized then that 106 either humid or dry is hotter than H*ll.

Keep cool my friends..

Last night I went out and it said 103, even though I set it to 100 earlier in the day,  I opened the lid 30 minutes before we wanted to soak and it only dropped 1 degree.  I haven't had the need to try the tennis ball trick yet, but I may when I get home this afternoon, that will give me 6-7 hours before soaking time.

The other day (we have had 100+ multiple days) I went out & tested my tub & it was registering 108!

Turned it down to 85 & it has yet to go below 100, even with a tennis ball, even with taking the cover off & letting it run for about 15-20 min!

It has been too hot to handle for very long!!!!!

I got home last night at about 1 AM here in the Midwest and it was still 92 degrees.

Just checking chems in mine, set at 99 and it's 103. So much for the early evening soak.
