Metal Sequestering products?
« on: July 28, 2006, 06:44:41 pm »
I used LT Metal Gon on initial fill up and I've been using LT Defender at least every two weeks.  It's now time to refill and I was wondering what other chemical company makes a product similar to Metal Gon that I might be able to find locally.  A couple of different dealers tried to sell me Pool Magnet from Bioguard as a replacement for Metal Gon.  I was told that it could be used in place of both Metal Gon and Defender.  From the label, it looked to me to be more of a replacement for Defender.  I was hesitant to use a chemical that only required a couple of ounces per 500 gallons when I used the whole 16 oz. bottle of metal gon on initial fill a few months ago.
What I need is a cross reference chart for different chemical companies  :)
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Take Care,
Gil

Pool Magnet only takes a few ounces because it is concentrated enough to treat 10,000 gallons per quart.

I'm surprised they didn't push you toward Stain & Scale Control.

Buy it from rhtubs.com and they will ship it right to your home.

I think the shipping is free on orders over $50 or something like that.
