Spastic POD filter
« on: April 19, 2007, 01:35:04 pm »
I'm sure none of us look at WTBHT on our work computers, but ever so seldomly I'll take a peek.  ::)

On some PODs the picture is displayed (i.e.  POD  4/16 and 17) and others are not displayed (POD 4/18 and 19).  Just about anything Term posts isn't shown.  How do you suppose which pic is selected for viewing and which is not?

When I get home to look at what I missed some of the non-viewable pictures are milder than the ones that are.

Just curious.  :-?

Ooops, I forgot......hot tub POD (legal statement) :-[

What do you see instead of the picture? A red X?

For example on POD 4/18, I can read the caption, 'I think it's time to change the water'.  After that nothing, not even the goalie, or the picture of the car (I think that is you with a car at the bottom).
But no red 'x', either.

As the pictures are hosted on a different server/web site (not from the WTB web site), it's possible your employer is blocking access to certain web sites............ such as the web site the picture is hosted on.

From looking at the 4 posts you referance, the 2 that show no picture, the pictures come from photobucket.com. The 2 that do show pictures, the pictures are from flickr.com.

What happens if you try to go to www.photobucket.com ?

If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Well there's the problem. While the page you're looking at is from whatsthebest-hottub.com , the images are being pulled from photobucket, and being blocked by your employer.

I'd file a grievance with the shop steward.  ;D

That's a good idea, however.  My employers name is Sam but we just call him Uncle and you know how it is to fight him and his cronies.  I'd better be careful what I write, if my phone call may be monitored just think what may be happening to our written words.  Now you're implicated Doc. Cooltoy, your PM may send the RCMP to see you.   :-X
