Hi,

What do you all use to clean and protect your covers? Armoral?

I suggest using 303 Protectant.

DO NOT USE ARMOR-ALL. It will void most cover warranties, and it ruins the vinyl.

303 - as mentioned above - does work well for protection. It also tends to bring back the shine.

For cleaning, I recommend liquid dish soap in warm water with a soft-bristle brush. I went to an auto parts store and bought a brush for cleaning wheels - mine has a handle about 18" long which makes it easy to reach the center of the cover without leaning on it.

The instructions with my cover said not to use anything with Alcohol or Silicone and of course I cannot find the ingredients in any of the products.

I'll take your advise and use the 303.

303 is not a cleaner. It is to protect the top after you have cleaned it.

I don't use it on the bottom - I just keep the bottom clean.

You could use anything to clean the cover that takes off the dirt, and is ok to use on vinyl. There are all kinds of cleaners made just for vinyl, or even plain soap and water.
As Chas said, the A303 isn't a cleaner- it's a protecterant. Supposed to treat the vinyl, and block harmful sun light- UVA or UVB perhaps.

Mature trees do a great job of blocking sunlight, too.

I use the same stuff: liquid dish soap and warm water. Fortunately, I don't have to clean it often - but when I do, do it as I'm emptying the spa, so any dirty/soapy water that lands in the tub gets flushed away.

If I see mildew, or if I smell funk from the cover, I give the spa a chlorine shock and keep the lid closed. Usually takes care of it.

I use 303 on top, bottom, sides, everywhere on my cover. I also use it on my plastic air controller and diverter knobs as well as on my controller keypad. It's great stuff.
