That is what I was thinking, I bet most folks do not realize that they are made in Mexico.

This is an absolute lie.

The Watkins factory is in Vista, California.  As far as I know, that is not Mexico.

The initial post referred to Watkins and not HotSprings specifically.

Watkins DOES have a plant in Mexico.

From what I gather the shells for Caldera and HotSpot tubs are laid up there(correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm not upset, just shining the light on a blatant falsehood.  I don't disagree with anything you've stated Tom, I thought it was funny. ;D

Nope. HS and TR are made in Vista, California. Often considered an outlying suburb of Mexico, the San Diego area is, in fact, part of the Estados Unidos.

The shells for Caldera tubs, Solana spas, HotSpot spas and all covers are made in Mexico - though both Caldera and the covers are brought into the US as parts and assembled here. In the case of the Caldera spa, the shells are shipped up here and all the rest of the work is done in Vista.

What is made in Mexico (besides Gombo's house)?

Yes, very funny.  ;D

OK, I should have said HotSpring tour. I didn't want to leave out our Caldera friends. As far as I know, only the shells (Caldera) are made south of the boarder. Watching them go through the assembly lines would still be cool.

Mexico might be more fun though.  :)

2005 Hot Spring Envoy still going strong. Million-Mile Club....

I want to get in the spa business so I can surf the internet and use Photoshop all day long.

Not sure if the general public is allowed to tour the factory, but it is indeed an awesome tour.
