Yep, thatīs very interesting.
Unfortunately I foresee a really bad harvest of moss coming up. Moss grows very slowly. Not good.

that is pretty interesting, price is very steep though.  I wouldn't pay no $19.95 each month for that.  Get rich quick I guess.

I don't know sphagnum moss from Kate Moss, but the last company I worked for sold bags of moss grown in Mexico to Walmart and florist for pennies a bag.

In reading the article, it looks like most of the $89.95 startup kit is everything but the moss -  A flush chemical and a hose prefilter.

Watkins spends money to find ways to keep spas clean and clear with no smell, no muss no fuss. They have tried quite a few things in this attempt.

Think about it: if a spa company could offer some sort of add-on device or additive to make a spa easier to care for and especially if they could come up with something automatic and chem-free, they would private label it and make it an 'exclusive' in an instant.

Has watkins tried the UVC light technology with ozone on hot tubs?

I'm sure they have. I was in the factory many years ago - back when it was in Carlsbad - and they had a shell plumbed with dozens of fittings. They had ozone systems, purifier systems, every kind of system setting on the bench nearby or hooked up and running. At the moment I walked through, they had an ozone system plumbed into the suction side of the jet pump, trying to see if it would mix better but not suck enough air to airlock the pump.

That was so long ago - if they were doing all of that research that long ago, I'm sure they have kept up with the 'newest' stuff.
