sundance neck jets and why I hate them.

Could they be any more useless? You cant completely turn them off, they run up your neck and wet your hair and overflow outside the tub when they are not at there minimum setting AND they make the most annoying noise when the water level is a bit low (underneath them).

I hate those jets. Anyone else hate them?

Sorry, I'm liking them in my Optima.  I don't seem to have the same issues with them as you do.

Height seems to play a role in the usefulness of neck jets. (I don't own a Sundance)  But in my tub  they work great for me at 6'2, but my 5/5 wife and 5'4 daughter have experiences similar to yours.   The only negative thing for me is they are loud as you mention, but when I have a tension headache in the back of my head/neck, or swollen shoulders, they are great.  Just don't talk to me when they are running.

My wife and I experienced a similar problem when we wet tested the Sundance models.  I loved them and she absolutely hated them.  We found Dimension One and our problem was solved.  D-1 has the height adjustable neck pillows.  These things are awesome and fit us both.  My wife is 5'-4" and i'm 5'-11".

If there is anything I hate, it is neck jets above the water line.  Your water level should be above those jets in the Sundance spas.  Keep the level up and it should not annoy you.

The neck jets on my cameo work fine for me.

If you haven't noticed, you can re-direct the flow to where it isn't pointed up and shooting out of the water by moving the inside of the jet.  Maybe that will make a difference for you.

Hope that helps!

I'm a 2 week Maxxus owner, and at 6 foot 5 I get a lot of benefit out of them - on my shoulders! I point them outwards as much as possible and get a nice impact on my shoulders when I'm sitting normally. They help greatly since I experience a lot of pain due to too many years stuck at a desk with a mouse.

One thing I have noticed is that the jets are very powerful. The only need I have at this point of putting the jets on full power is to see just how powerful they are!

I to own a maxxus by the way.. welcome fellow maxxus owner.

I am 6' and I do know that you can point the jets in different directions. i just hate playing with water level. It is just a peave I have, why cant I just shut them off?

I dont get that more pople arent annoyed by how the water will just run up your neck hehe.

Oh well.

Maybe they plan on getting wet when they're in the tub anyhow, so water on the neck isn't an issue?

I love mine!  I only wish I could crank the neck jets up even higher.

Try turning your diverter to the other side it may reduce the "noise" coming from the left side filter neck jets.

Can't stand 'em on my '05 Reward - too noisy.

I only use the neck jets if there are enough people in the tub to raise the water line so they're not making noise.

If you do not care for them at least you can simply turn them off but it does not appear to be as easy with the Sundance....or am I reading the post wrong ?

Yes on the sundance models you can only vary the intensity of the jet but not completely shut it off.
