Do you keep the water level below the headrests?
It isn't contact with the water that destroys pillows, it's the high level of chlorine or bromine gas that developes beneath the cover. Leaving the cover open after shocking will help some, but the damage in inevitable.That's why they aren't covered by the warranty of any manufacturer that uses them.
I do have ozone... what can I do to prevent this?
