making sure about chemicals

A new hot tub owner, got everything plugged in, water temp OK, etc.   looking for some advice about chemicals.
Can't wait to get in, but want to be sure about the chemical readings,  

Looking at the test strip everything is OK (hardness, chlorine, bromide, ph, alkalinity) but the stabilizer is low. :-/ Checked it twice, barely a reading.  Is this a big deal?  What is the best way to raise it?

don't. stabilizer is for swimming pools exposed to sunlight. swimming pools need to be stabilized(cyanuric acid) to sheild the chlorine from the sun. Your spa is cover...do not stabilize. We can go deeper into the subject, but no need to. you're using either chlorine or bromine, but when using chlorine you strips test for the amount of chlorine present in bromine. so you'll get a reading of bromine, but disregard. Did you get an orientation in home or at your dealers store? These and other things you'll experience should have been covered.
