HS Auxiliary Panel Failure
« on: May 20, 2006, 06:57:50 pm »
OK, it looks like I've had my first failure. The + button that controls the lighting on my Envoy Aux panel died recently--all the other buttons work. My kids make a game out of changing the colors when they are in the spa. They've probably gone through ten years of button pushing in six months. Maybe the factory has some openings for them on the weekends. They can push buttons faster than any machine out there.

Anyway, when I get this fixed I guess I'll have to make the light changing routine a special activity. Is this a common failure? I actually have the new style aux panel with the hard black buttons.

2005 Hot Spring Envoy still going strong. Million-Mile Club....

I want to get in the spa business so I can surf the internet and use Photoshop all day long.

Not very common. The older Aux panel was a pain, but the new design seems to be doing the job exactly the way it should.

No problems of course, it's a warranty item.

Ain't that the way it is? Best feature on my spa is the "lock out" feature!

My experience with this part has been problematic. I've had mine replaced on my 2004 Vista twice so far. :o

Mine went this spring... same deal... although I waited to call until the controls went on and off randomly without anyone being in the tub.  Warrenty item.  My dealer said these go out on 10% of the tubs.

My 2005 HS Vanguard was turning on and off by itself...they ended up replacing the intermittent auxiliary control panel 2 months ago.
