Hotsprings New Water Maintenance Program?
« on: January 19, 2006, 03:43:04 pm »
Hi, I am brand new and am curious to know about the new Hotsprings water maintenance program mentioned by East Tx Spas on this forum.

Is this something new for the 2006 models? Also does anyone know of a good place to look for patio designs? I am wanting to put in a patio this summer and then possibly put a hottub on it late this summer or sometime the following year. From what I have read so far it sounds like the Hotsprings Envoy would be a great tub to have.

Welcome to the board! :)

There is a very nice Patio Planner online program at the HotSpring website that you might find useful.

As far as the water care program, all I can say at this point is that it is revolutionary and has received outstanding results in Beta tests over the last 2 years.  All 2005 and newer HotSpring Spas are modified to use it and it should be ready for introduction by mid-year.  I'm sorry I can't say more right now.

Thanks for the quick response. I look forward to learning more about the water program and also hottubs in general.

It would be nice to have an easy way to keep the water clear. Maybe it isn't that hard but there are a ton of posts on this forum concerning this issue.

You're welcome. :)

Water care is very simple if you will allow it to be.  Most problems I encounter are from people OVERDOSING the spa.  It ain't rocket science! ;D

Can this new program be used on the older hotsprings models (1997)?
Thanks!

No sir, Mr. Bear, only on 2005 models and newer.  It is pretty hi-tech and required some modifications to accomodate it.  I'm sorry.

It probably has something to do with the little screw inside the filter compartments.  I thought it was designed to BaquaSpa, but maybe not.

Term, should I hold off on buying ozone?  At least until you reveal the new technology?

Yes, the two systems are not compatible.  The ozonator has basically become a commoditiy and that's why it's being included free on the new HS spas.  The new water care system is the next evolution and has been in development over 3 years now.  I talked to several dealers who have been beta testing the system over the course of 2 years and they say it is fantastic.  Just hold tight! :)

So if I were to purchase a HS spa before midyear, I will still be able to add the new system...as long as it's a 2005 or 2006 model?  Am I understanding this correctly?

Thanks!
