Change the filters every year. Always buy the generic version if possible they work just fine. Shop online for the best prices.

Anne, do your filters look like this:



Becuase if you have a standard, pleated filter you should be able to go the distance. If, however, you have some other type of filter, you may not be able to get that kind of performance out of it. Can you describe your filter to Terminator so we can all see a picture of it within a few minutes?

It looks just like the above pic, though I am not sure how many pleats it has compared to that one. It is 50 sq feet. I just inquired about that at "lost in filtration."

Sorry- I guess that is not a detailed enough description to inspire a Termillustration.....
