Mega Millions
« on: March 05, 2007, 07:45:57 am »
Who among us lives in a Mega Millions state? at 340 Million, the cash option would still be above 200 million.   I'll definitely buy a new house and leave the current hot tub with the house.

I once was part of a group of 13 who played a lotto pool each week. One week the jackpot was $36 million.  We had the first 5 numbers and the 6th number was 47, we had 46.  So close.

Useally the cash option is about half the jackpot, sometimes a little less. Jackpot at $340 mill, cash option $170 mill, $120 mill take home after taxes. Not a bad chunk of change.

I do not live in a mega-million state but right across the border. I have my tickets for Tuesday's drawing  :D

Bill,
Yeah, I bought a few tickets when it was at 267MM. Guess I'll buy a few tickets this time, too.
Sure is a lot of $$$... I guess I'd have to buy a hot tub for the bathroom - upstairs and downstairs!  ;D  :D  ;D

I'm with you.  We have Powerball and I only buy when the pot is $100 million.  Otherwise I may be buying tickest all the time. :D

I'd design a house complete with a bat cave and secret entrance.

About 20 of us at the PD went in 5 bucks each. If we hit, Gahanna's gonna be one lawless town.

The time when I worked at CompuServe and we just missed, the CEO stopped me in the hall and said, " I heard you nearly wiped out 3 departments."  I thought I was about to be fired, but he held out his hand and said, "Better luck next time"  After that everyone wanted in our group.  I even got calls from our SF branch wanting in.
