Thats a shame Brook. At the very least he should perform his Manly duties. I think he is giving all men a bad name by that performance. I bought the lovely Mrs. a dollar store card with a little bear in a basket for 2.00. Stayed home with a great steak and salad and enjoyed the pellet stove before shoveling for the 3rd time. Came in for some hot lovin and unlike you wasn't disappointed! ;) ;)

PS: Are you married? They say married couples get more lovin than singles. :o :o

No!!! He's making me look good! Not giving all men a bad name.  It's all relative.

For the record, my DH has never been big on getting stuff for hallmark holidays and I am okay with that.  I typically buy my own birthday and christmas presents then wrap them from him.  This year he shocked the crap out of me by buying me new pots and pans for Christmas.  I had already bought myself a board game, lol.  Valentines and anniversaries we don't usually do anything for besides me cooking a favorite dinner and adding dessert.  I do normally by myself some chocolate for VTD.  This year I waited till the day after so I could get it 50% off.

I was just dissapointed I didn't get any loving.   :(  Granted he does have a broken collar bone and is in a bit of pain, but come on suck it upand put out already.

I played hockey.

I tell my wife that I love her every single day, so I do not need a special day for that.

My grandpa would put his cigars out on my arm and make me wring chickens' necks for sport.  He said Valentine's Day was for sissies and massacres.  Thanksgiving was of the devil.

I wish your Peepaw would have been mine, too.  Then we'd be family and I could come and visit and stay.

Please tell me you have a fireplace there!

Sorry, Chas and Spatech have been ripping apart my posts, so I seized this chance to fire back.

Actually, that was a fine post Bill. The humor was subtle, almost understated, yet funny. "Fire back" was very close to a pun, but I will assume it was a simple error and not meant as an attempt at piling on humor upon humor.

Your grammar was surprisingly good, your form was clean and appealing. I would say word choice was spot-on, and the meaning came through clearly. I don't usually support the use of exclamation points, as I feel such punctuation marks are a sign of a weak verbal communication, which needs amplification. However, in this case it was bearable, if not completely needed.

Now, let's discuss your use of sentence fragments. I know how hard it is in this day and age to find time to put together a complete thought, let alone write out a complete sentence. But please, for the sake of the language; let's try, shall we? I know you had quoted the original post, so the rest of your sentence can safely be assumed. But what, dear moderator, are we teaching our young posters by this reckless dismissal of the very rules upon which our modern language has its foundation?

Other than that, it was a fine effort. I give you a B+

And all this time, I thought you had some sort of skin disease Term. VTD is actually my true birthday. Really! Count 9 months...November 15. I ask my mother about this development that I figured out some time ago. She just said: Hehehe. Thanks Russell Stover, I'm forever indebted :)

I wonder if I was conceived on VTD as well. My B-day is Nov. 20th. I'll have to ask my dad. I doubt he remembers but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Galen, you know what they say about Scorpios?

LMAO!!!!  You guys are too funny.

In defense of my man... since getting the hot tub he had done quite well keeping up with me until his motorcycle accident.  He will have A LOT of making up to do when he is better and off all the darn drugs.

I wish I woulda known about the Scorpio thing 12 years ago....  ;)

Just for posterity's sake, I should state for the record that my Grandpa was the best example of a man anyone could ever hope to emulate.  He taught me and my friends how to drive in his old pickup, he came to every one of my ballgames, track meets, and school plays, and every time I got a new girlfriend, I would take her to his house where he and Grandma would cook us a steak dinner, twice baked potato, and blueberry delight while entertaining the young lady with tales full of wit and good humor.  My dates usually ended up liking my grandparents better than me.  I don't blame them.

He and my father are the only two people I ever knew that didn't lie, without exception.

I know...Valentine's Day is long over..but I have to tell you all about the Valentine Robes that my hubby got at Walmart for almost nothing..He bought plush RED hooded robes that were left over from Valentine's for $3.00 each. They are great for the tub and if we have guests, we have plenty ...I have to admit when he tried one one last night...he looked pretty funny!  I think I will sew red horns on the hood, that might make it more Masculine ..  looking!  ;D He'll look like he stepped out of a Viagra commercial! ;D ;D Hey I couldn't buy the material to make the robes for $3.00 :o
