Tony it seems that you are correct. After searching and searching it seems the main factor for offgassing is Ph not temperature whether chlorine or bromine. Both are just as effective no matter what temp. It is just a preferance what to use . Personally I like bromine.

Yes I do but I do not use the minerals. Cannot buy spa frog minerals in canada because they have not been approved by the goverment. I am not a fan of mineral treatment anyways. I do like having  an automatic feeder on my spa. I just got this spa . My last one I used a floater

In you last spa, how long did it take for the cover to get heavy?
