Ok, let's say I'm looking for a mid size spa 5-6 people.
I have about 5000-7000 to spend, give me some ideas please !

We want a nice spa without a lot of trouble down the road and low cost to operate. We entertain some, but just the wife and I in the spa the most. I've been reading in this forum a ton and I've gathered a lot of info.

Can I get a nice spa for the kind of money I'm talking about? Thanks for the help !!!!!

Seems that most premium spa brands have a value brand as well. Bahia was mentioned, that's a Sundance spa, Marquis everyday line was mentioned, Hot Springs has Tiger River, etc...
I'd look for something like that vs a tub from Home Depot, Costco, etc...
In the long run I think your odds are better.

I'm a Tony Stewart fan but I'm not buying a spa from Home Depot for sure !

Hot Spring Classic series Sovereign or Vanguard.

As you know, prices vary from region to region, so Caspian and Vanguard may be higher where you are.

Look for some '05's still hanging around that dealers are looking to get rid of...we got our '05 HS Envoy for $6900.00. That included cover with the cover cradle lifter, steps, chemicals, and some aromatherapy, and the electical box. My dealer was really wanting to move his '05's and I think we got a really nice deal, and we are loving our hot tub. But keep in mind, that I am completely new to the hot tub world and quite ignorant about it all, so take my input for FWIW, which probably ain't much!

Just relating what happened for us.

Hot springs and Tiger River, Sundance 700 Series, Marquis Everday Line, all great choices mentioned, be sure to check out Artesian Spas Island Class, in the $5000-7000 range. And LA Spas would be another great choice in that range. Wet test and be sure which is best for you. Goodluck. Dave.

I'll toss in my suggestion: I have an 05 Tiger River Caspain that I am very happy with that was priced at the high end of your budget.

Anyhow here's an FYI to keep in the back of your mind as you shop around;

I would point on that in that price range, some of the tubs you may come across are 110v units, not 240. 110v tubs are less exspeive and don't need licensed elictricians to wire them up (they plug into a gfci 110 outlet). However, they can't run the heater and pumps at the same time. This can make a difference in enjoying your tub in colder climates, esp so if the tub is going to be outside.

Thanks again. I'm going the 240 route.

My range doesn't mean I won't go a little more, that's just the figure I'd like to stay at. I figure I can deal some, so maybe I can't find a dealer willing to deal on an 05 model.

Don't kill me, but I'm in the car business so I know I can bargin some.....

FYI, back when I was shopping I found a Sundance Optima ('04) that this dealer had on his floor as a demo and I was able to cut a deal that was right in the middle of your budget. It came with everything including the full warranty. I think I saved 25% or more and got a top of the line tub.

both of these spas by Marquis are 240v.

I'd go to the same dealers whether I'm able to spend $9k or $6k. Either way, you're looking for a quality spa and a good spa buying experience.
