I'd love some lake effects snow.  We don't have a big enough lake around here to give us that, and for the past several years, snowmobiling and cross country skiing have stunk.
Downhillers and snoboarders at least have places that make snow- or they'd probably have folded by now.

Oh well, at least the summer season is nearing and I can soon get to boating, bicycling, motorcycling, golf, etc....

And it's ALWAYS hot tub season.

Little chilly today - had some rain. I think it got as low as 60 degrees, but warmed up a bit in the afternoon.

just checked as of 11:23pm Saturday night, it is -15, but -25 with wind chill.  I am still deciding if I should go in right now or not.

It is really cold

My record for going into the spa is an actual air temp of 0 degrees F.  No wind.
My hair froze where it got wet.  My soda froze and I had to keep submerging the cup into the spa water to keep it from slushing over.
I'd have been tempted to go out last night (-15) but it was just too windy.

Brewman...if you want snow go north. The Two Harbors Minnesota area and up Hwy. 2 from there has more snow than they have seen in many years. Here in Duluth we have plenty for good cross country, snoshoeing and snowmobiling.

update on temp.. -3 and windchill of -16...still a bit on the chilly side....my chihuahua now REFUSES to go outside to go potty (god bless the inventor of the doggie potty pad), and the husky even comes back in in under 10 minutes...
Time to finish painting the kitchen.

It only got 7 down to 7F last night so I didn't set a new personal low soaking temp.    At 7F, I could have stayed in 104 for an hour!  It was a great quiet soak.

The temp here isn't the problem (although we haven't seen anything above 20 in about 48hours), I'd get in with it this cold no problem!  It's the falling sleet, it hurts when it pelts you in the head!

not to belittle the deep freeze for everyone (i did live in ohio for 5 years, so i know cold/snow). it was 60 yesterday with rain and some light wind. however, when i went to the desert to install a cover lifter at 10am, it started snowing. thats right, snow (all be it light) in souther california.

started having ohio flash backs   ;D
