I am in the market for a spa..looking for a $5K-$7K spa to accomodate 5-6 people...I know nothing about manufactures....what are the top 3 SPA brands??

What are the top three spa brands?  Really depends on who you ask.  I will list mho in no particular order.  every brand out there is going to have their pro's and cons depending what you are looking for and your personal preferences.  I feel all of these brands are quality brands that all have good reputations.  Please do not take it personally anyone if your favorite brand is not on the list,  just mho.  Coleman, hot Springs, Sundance, Jacuzzi, Marquis, bullfrog, beachcomber just to name a few.  Again this list is by no means meant to be a complete one, as there are many quality tubs out there these are just some of the ones I sell and compete against.

Having just gotten into the spa search myself, I feel your pain.  

You might start by just seeing what brands are available in your area (however far you are willing to drive), and then word searching this forum to see what has been said about those brands in the last few months. That way, you'll get a feeling for what people like about each brand, and be able to decide based on your priorities which are the best for you.

Check out the Tiger River Caspain. (I'm starting to sound like a broken record here....hey, I love my tub).

$7K (aprox) Hot springs quality. Seats 6, decent variety and a nice tub for the money.

There are many good brands and in some size markets you may find one or two of someone's top 3 are not in your area.  It looks like your from Austin Texas.  Any suggestions people make here, go to the manufacturers website and use their dealer locators.

If you want to really see who is in your area go to these websites and insert your zip code and you'll see where their nearest dealer is to you. This list (in alphabetical order)  includes what I consider to be most of the top spa makers in the industry. I normally chime in with a recomendation to check out Jacuzzi, but due to recent developments, I won't be doing that anymore.  Perhaps I will say stay away from them.

I have been trying to contact Sundance, the company that Jacuzzi owns, for about a year and have never gotten a response.  I have left numerous phone messages and emails.  Strange how a big company chooses to ignore its customers or potential customers.

This is a very good time of year to buy. Look for 2005 models in dealer inventory that the dealer wants to move ahead of the arrival of the 2006 models. I found a good deal on a 2005 Hot Spring Grandee three weeks ago that I could not pass on. Also  from my shopping experience the greater the changes between the 2005 & 2006 the better the deals were on the older models. These has been my observations, don't know if this is true for other shoppers. Best of luck

You have been trying to contact sundance for a year with no response?  Have you contacted your local dealer? for any customer or potential customer your local dealer should be able to answer most questions/ solve most problems- if not they should be able to have someone at sundance contact you.  who have you been trying to contact at sundance and for what reason?
