Back from Vegas
« on: January 22, 2007, 09:23:45 am »
Ok, I am back from a week in sin city.  Great time, really cold though.  It was warm the last two days, but I was forced to stay inside and gamble and drink.  Did I mention gamble and drink!!!!!!!  Anyways, we stayed at the Flamingo, and I was worried about the quality.  We were upgraded to  a strip view on the 18th floor and we had a clean room and it was directly infront of caesers palace.

We ate at the cheese cake factory in Caesers 3 nights in a row.  They had 250 items on the menu and the quantity was amazing.  Were not really buffet eaters, as we both fill up quickly.  Played at every Casino, found that I was lucky at Aladin and O'sheas.  Tropicana made me their B I T C H.  I could not win.

The food was great, the drink was great, we won about 1000 which paid for the trip.  The last night there, we went to the Paris hotel and went up the tower.  Here are some photos we took from the strip.

If people are serious about going to the hottub convention next year, chime in and we will plan something.  I cant wait to go back for number 3.

Was this a child free trip?

We are doing Vegas in August for a week to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.  It'll be a family trip though... so that means J will sleep all day, I will have the kids at the pool, and J will drink and gamble all night.   :)

no babies this trip.  It was great to get away.  I think next time we go, we will bring the babies though.  The pools are amazing.  We are not big drinkers so it wont be an issue, ill wait till they go to bed and gamble away thier future.

Where are you going to be staying?

I can't remember where... its bordering the strip behind 2 major hotels.  Its a time share my parents traded for with RCI and gave us a week in as an anniversary present.

Sounds like fun, Bosco! Cool that you guys could get away from it all for a week.  I live only a few hours away from it, and I've never been to vegas.

Bosco,

I'm glad you guys had a great time and still had money left over to fly home. I wasn't so lucky. :-[
I'm definetly down for the hot tub convention. Someone needs to step up and pick a date. Once a date is set it will be very easy for most to plan accordingly with proper notice.
Let's get this thing rolling so we can finally meet eachother. :D

Btw, my uncle is the GM of a Cheesecake Factory here in St. Louis. They have amazing food and it's a great place to take a date b/c everything is comped.(I of course don't tell them that  :))

I tell everybody that she slipped something in my drink and I woke up with the marriage certificate nailed to the headboard. My bride gets soooo mad at me.  ROTFL
