O la, back from cuba

so I went to varadero, had a good time, not a great time but a good time.

Tex, smoked a few, hell several for ya.  Cohiba no. 1, monte cristos and brought home a bunch.  Good prices, and real deal, no fakes.

7 year dark rum, taste great,   all that i was missing was the warm bubbly water.

The resort that we stayed in had two hot tubs that were just filled with the pool water.  about 40 people sat in them at once and the jets made me laugh.

It truly is amazing the quality of jets in our tubs compared to these made units.  They suck.

The little guy loved it and so did the misses.

On the downside, I lost my 400.00 sunglasses in the ocean.  Considering the trip cost me only 1800, it really hurt to add this to the total cost.

Got some stoggies, I just cant think how to ship them to my american friends here.

non american here.  I am from canada.

the food, well lets just say, the first stop was subway for a sub with real chicken and lots of vegetables.

I found the food to be very plain, and no variety.  Not alot of fruit of vegetables.  Pork is there main thing and I dont eat it.  the chicken was very tuff.

The customs was terrible and the army are asses.

The beaches are the best i have ever seen, the resort was clean.  the staff are only nice when getting tipped, but the weather was nicer than canada and the booze ran non stop.

If I might ask: what made you choose this particular island over others?

price!!!!!!!!

1800 canadian for the three of us.  No other trip was that cheap.  Not to mention I wanted to try somewhere else.  I have been everywhere and not to cuba yet.

first and last time there.

Go to Miami!  You can find terrific Cuban food in Little Havana (or so I've been told, hubby says I'm not ready for Little Havana, yet)!!!  I guess I should brush up on my spanish a little more!  LOL!!!

Of course, if you are ever in the neighborhood, I can get you an invite to my Mother-In-Law's for dinner.  She loves to feed people!!!!
