East TX - just curios, how many Accolades?
I'm beginning to think I'm the only one that preferred that model.

My Buddy from my old company said the Accolade was a real dog for them.
Measure once, cut twice.

According to the parent company of Watkins...Hotsprings is the leading manufacturer of hot tubs...and that is in writing in corporate info on their website According to the site, Watkins has produced over 650,000 tubs since 1986. Masco is the parent company of Watkins (stock was up today..I 'd like to think that Terminator's good sales numbers has something to do with that!)

Kelly, the Accolade is a wonderful spa, I occasionally use the one on my deck at the store.  However, I have not had much success selling it.  I have sold ONE.  But, there is a method to this madness:

When I was at the Watkins factory in March, I asked someone in the know "What is the purpose of the Accolade?"

The reply "To help you sell more Envoys, period."

Result for 2005:  42 Envoys sold at $9500 and 1 Accolade sold at $8000.  Love that Accolade! :)

I have it on VERY GOOD authority that Watkins commands 20% of the portable spa market.

LOL @ "To help you sell more Envoys, period."

It doesn't surprise me at all. When I went online to register my Accolade back in late May or early June - the pull down menu used during registration didn't even have "Accolade" as a choice. I couldn't even complete registration. An email to Watkins got it added. I don't know how many years the Accolade's been offered, but it's hard to believe that in mid-2005 I was the first one to register theirs online.

About 2 months ago Watkins hit the 700,000 mark, they make anywhere between 200-300 spas a day!
