Tri-x Filter for Jetsetter

Can someone familiar with the Hot Springs models clarify this filter question.
Does the Tri-x filters fit on a jetsetter?
My current filter is a watkins31489 and from my research it can accept any of the following: Unicel/C-6430 or Pleatco/PWK30
These filters say it filters 30sqft of water but I think the tri-x only listed 5. My local dealer said it should fit but he didn't seem to confident...

Absolutely 100% will fit. Now, it might be a little snug going over the standpipe, but it will go. Most of my customers are upgrading to the Tri-X because of all of it's benefits.
Tri-X filters 65 sq. ft. apiece.

How do you actually wash them in the Dishwasher? Maybe my dishwater is a little small but they would not fit vertically. Do you wash them laying down in the grates? It didn't seem to work very well for me. I had better luck washing them off with a high pressure nozzle and a garden hose. It only took about five minutes and they came out very clean.
Explain the dishwasher method to me that I should follow next time.

I would just continue to wash them with the pressure washer. Like you said, it only takes 5 minutes to do and it does a great job. You have 5 filters and there is no way to feasibly get them all in the dishwasher at once unless you have a very large capacity dishwasher.
I don't have a dishwasher at work and I just use the spray nozzle on the water hose. It does the job!

Gomboman,
I put my Tri-X filters in my dishwasher every time I change the water. For me that is about every other month. They should go in by themselves. No detergent, normal clean cycle, air dry. At weekly intervals I hit them with the hose.

Bill

Thanks all. I am thinking of upgrading to the TRI-x when it is time to replace the filters. I like the idea of being able to wash them in the dishwasher.
Thanks again.

I put all 5 tri-x filters from my Envoy in the dishwasher together. I lay them on their side and rotate them a few times during the cycle.

Tri-X filters are a great investment! They last years longer than the traditional paper filter and are extremely easy to clean!! Tri-X filters also filter 65 sq. ft per filter!!!

I also use the dishwasher to clean mine all 5 at a time. I lay 3 in the bottom and 2 in the top racks. I have had my Envoy since 4-1-05 and have put them in the dishwasher at the 2 water changes I've done. I rinse them with a garden hose every 3-4 weeks. My water has been perfect since I have had the tub except 1 time when I was gone for a long time and got behind on the dichlor. Does any one use any filter cleaner on the tri-x filters? I haven't yet and wonder if I ever will need to.
