HS No Fault Heater 4,000W vs, 6,000W
« on: December 08, 2005, 12:31:23 am »
Why does the Vista and the Envoy have a 4,000 Watt heater and all the other models have a 6,000 Watt heater?  I would think the newer HP models would have the larger heater?  Maybe the new heater is more efficient? Does anyone know why?  Jut curious.
2005 Hot Spring Envoy still going strong. Million-Mile Club....

I want to get in the spa business so I can surf the internet and use Photoshop all day long.

I have only seen titanium heaters come in 4kw, so I wonder if that is why.  1 is titanium and the other isn't?

I imagine it probably has something to do with how many amps you can draw. I'll bet the ones with the 4kw heater are also ones with larger pumps and if they put in 6kw heaters they'd go over their allowable max amp draw for teh breakers. The ony difference you should see between the two is the 4kw will probably heat up at about 5º/hr while the 6kw will heat at 7º/hr. The 6kw would take less time to get to temp upon a refill but both would keep up with heat needs while in use pretty easily.

Thats exactly it. The Vista, Envoy and the 3rd quarter 2005 Grandee have bigger pumps and smaller heaters. They are all Titanium in the Hot Spring lineup.
