Thanks from the newbe
« on: November 16, 2005, 01:23:07 pm »
Just wanted to say thank you all for the information i read at this site.
It was my first hot tub purchase ever and i feel i was well informed.
I live in Western Mass and purchased a Coleman 470 from a local dealer. It was a positive experience and have been using the spa for 1.5wks. Its great, should have done it years ago.
I won't ask if i got the best deal or is it the best spa on the market.
I am happy with the price, I think the product is great and the importance of having a superior dealer was a major factor in my final decision.
We are hitting on all cylinders....
Thanks again to all of you for your helpful information...
Chris...

ps; What is the best cigar for tubbing and should the plastic wrapper be removed????

Have a great day all.

Hamrhed,

Congratulations!  Like you, I truly have benefited from the information on the this forum.  I went from uninformed buyer to "able to talk intelligently" in no time flat.

The following key recommendations really helped me out:

-Seek out well know spas and compare them to the lesser known spas to narrow the search
-A good dealer to help support you after the purchase is key.
-Wet Test
-Wet Test again
-Then Wet Test to confirm.

This worked for me and I am now happy.

Best of luck and thanks all who post on this forum and those who go out or their way to help, and you know who you are!

Oh, forgot,

Punch, Hoyo de Monterrey, Padron or Zino with a 54 ring with a nice short glass of Glen Fiddich single malt in a small plastic brandy sniffer. (safety first)

Thanks everyone glad to be on board...

Any leads on where to procure some plastic or composit stem ware for spa use?

I have been relieved of all mixology duties until further notice, due to a misshap on sat pm. Dropped a brand new 1/2 gal of Kettle One on the floor... Thirty bucks of booze on the floor is not a pretty sight... I squirted a tear or two...
Given my track record i could use some plastic...

Try Bed Bath and Beyond, they often have durable plastic wear to use outside. I don't allow glass around the swimming pool and we have all sorts of nice plastic "stem wear" for parties. Sometimes you can even pick it up at the Dollar Store...
Support your dealer so they can support you!

Congratulations on your new spa.  As for cigars, only someone who was not raised right would leave the label on the cigar before lighting it.  ;-)

Regards,

Bill

For those in the Toronto area, Frank Correnti's on King St. east of Bathurst make excellent cubans. If you visit try not to do so when the workers are at lunch, it's interesting to see the dexterity and skill of the people who really know how to roll a cigar.   paul
